After some encouragement, and realizing that it would be a great idea to post updates about my teachings, workshops, philosophy, nutrition, adventures and life… I decided that the time to start a blog has come!
My goal is for this blog to become more than a blog. I would love for it to be a forum for questions, comments and exploration.
This ‘beyond a blog’ is for my students, current and future, so that they can avail themselves of my teachings while surfing the internet. It is also for my peers, so that together we can gain deeper knowledge of our work while discussing current movement research, philosophies and the inner workings of the human body and spirit. Just as important, it is for me… that I may gain a better understanding of myself. Through this blog and my teaching, I hope to share with others lessons I have learned and continue to learn on my quest for personal growth and a healthy body and spirit.
- The roots of a lotus are in the mud, the stem grows up through the water, and the heavily scented flower lies pristinely above the water, basking in the sunlight. This pattern of growth signifies the progress of the soul from the primeval mud of materialism, through the waters of experience, and into the bright sunshine of enlightenment. –Nitin Kumar for Exotic India Arts
